Voice modulator: change the pitch and pick the output
Set the pitch between −12 and +12 semitones, adjust the output volume and send the processed voice to OBS or your app, with a virtual audio device installed separately.
What the modulator does
The modulator changes your voice pitch in real time. The range runs from −12 to +12 semitones: negative values sound deeper and positive ones higher. Zero semitones keeps the original pitch.
Besides pitch, you set the output volume from 0 to 100 %. It uses the microphone chosen in Stream, and processing happens on your PC, with no network and no recording.
It stays on with the panel closed
Processing runs continuously in the audio process, independently of the mascot. You can close the panel or minimise CYPAD and the processed voice keeps running; a visible button stops it, and closing the app stops it too.
It does not start by itself when CYPAD opens. If you change microphone or output, the modulator stops and has to be started again.
The real audio path, no shortcuts
CYPAD installs neither a virtual microphone nor an audio driver. For the processed voice to reach OBS, TikTok LIVE Studio or another app, you need a virtual audio device installed separately.
The wiring is always the same: the playback end of that cable is selected as the output in CYPAD, and its recording end as the microphone in the destination app. There, disable capture of the physical microphone and avoid doubling the audio through desktop capture.
The OBS virtual camera carries video, not this voice: pick the microphone separately.
Pick the output and test it
If the output list is empty, grant microphone permission through the Stream microphone test and press Refresh devices. Always choose a specific output: the dynamic "default" and "communications" entries are not offered, so the destination does not change when you touch Windows settings.
To hear yourself, select headphones. Do not use speakers near the microphone, as the sound feeds back. Before going live, record a local test in the destination app and check voice, volume and sync; adjust the audio offset in OBS if needed.
What to expect, and what not to
The effect is local and works with AudioWorklet, granular transposition and output compression. The effect window is about 80 ms plus the device and receiving-app buffers, so the voice arrives with a small delay.
This is a voice with an effect, not an AI imitation or a studio transposition, and it does not guarantee anonymity: your accent, vocabulary and way of speaking remain recognisable. If the processor fails, the microphone is unplugged or the output disappears, processing stops; there is no unprocessed backup audio connection.
Plan and requirements
The modulator lives in the Stream panel, which is part of the Pro licence, like OBS control, sounds and routines. The Free plan includes 1 profile and up to 6 active buttons with the basic actions, with no time limit.
CYPAD installs free from the Microsoft Store and runs on Windows 10 and 11.
Frequently asked questions
Does CYPAD create a virtual microphone?
No. CYPAD installs no audio driver. To broadcast the processed voice you need a virtual audio device installed separately, selected on both sides: as the output in CYPAD and as the microphone in the destination app.
Can I hear myself while I talk?
Yes. Select headphones as the output and start the modulator. Do not use speakers near the microphone, as the sound feeds back.
Is the voice processed over the internet?
No. Processing is local, inside CYPAD’s audio process, with no network and no recording. Closing the app stops the effect.
Does it make me anonymous?
No. It changes the pitch, but your accent, vocabulary and way of speaking remain recognisable. It is not an anonymity tool.
Why do I have to start it again after changing device?
Because changing the microphone or the output stops processing. Press Start modulator again once your final devices are selected.
