Download and install CYPAD
CYPAD installs free on Windows 10 and 11 from the Microsoft Store, and a signed EXE build is available for manual installs. Here are the requirements, the differences between the two routes and how to activate Pro.
Requirements
You do not need extra hardware: the deck is drawn on screen and driven with a mouse, touch or keyboard shortcuts.
With the Free plan you do not need an account: install it, open it and use it, with no time limit.
- Windows 10 or 11.
- An internet connection to download the app and, if you buy Pro, to receive the key by email.
- OBS with the official WebSocket plugin only if you want to control your stream.
Installing from the Microsoft Store
Open the CYPAD listing in the Microsoft Store and press Install. The Store handles the download and later updates.
When it finishes, open CYPAD: the deck is ready to configure.
Manual install with the EXE
A signed EXE build is also available for anyone who prefers a manual install without the Store. Download it from the official website and run it like any Windows installer.
It is the same application and the same licence as the Store version; the difference is how it is installed and updated.
- Always download the file from the official cypad.app link
- If Windows shows a security warning, check where the file came from before continuing
- Your configuration is stored separately from the program, so reinstalling or updating does not erase it
How updates work
The Microsoft Store version updates through the Store: you do not have to do anything.
A manual install is updated by downloading the new 1.x build from the website and installing it over the current one. Your profiles, buttons and sounds stay in place.
As an extra backup, you can export your configuration and import it again whenever you want.
Activating Pro
Pro costs €9 once and unlocks up to 12 profiles and 48 buttons per profile, routines, sounds, OBS, global hotkeys, mobile control and the Gamer and Streamer modes.
The purchase is made on cypad.app with a verified account; the key is generated after payment and arrives by email.
To activate it, open Settings → Account → License, paste the key and confirm. CYPAD validates the licence and the Pro features become available.

- Keys issued before the rename remain valid.
- There is no subscription: it is a one-time payment.

Moving your setup to another PC
Export your profiles from the app and use New → Import preset on the target machine. The import covers the full local configuration.
If you use mobile control, remember to enable it there too: Settings → Mobile and tablet, then open the local URL on your phone with the 4-digit PIN.
