Use case

Your PC shortcuts and automations, in one deck

CYPAD turns your Windows desktop into a grid of keys that open apps, fire shortcuts and run routines, without memorising combinations.

A deck instead of ten habits

CYPAD is a virtual deck for Windows 10 and 11: a floating window of keys, each one tied to an action. Open the project folder, launch a tool, copy a text or switch profile with one click, without touching the rest of your desktop.

The Free plan includes 1 profile and up to 6 active buttons with the core actions, with no time limit. That is enough to test the workflow on the tools you open every day before deciding whether you need more keys or deeper automation.

Ready-made actions, no code required

Every button picks its behaviour from a list, so you can build the deck without writing anything:

  • Open a website, an app, a file or a folder
  • Copy text to the clipboard or reveal a file in Explorer
  • Launch Windows tools such as Task Manager or Calculator
  • Control volume, brightness and media playback

Shortcuts without memorising them

The keyboard action offers a library of 27 combinations grouped into Editing, Browser and Windows, a direct key capture and a visual key builder. Pick the combination once and the key keeps it, so you stop juggling Ctrl, Alt and Shift in your head.

Shortcuts depend on the target application: it has to support the combination, and Windows does not deliver reserved sequences or inject input into processes running with higher privileges. CYPAD reports what Windows accepted instead of assuming the action worked on its own.

A routine turns five clicks into one

A routine is a chain of up to 12 steps that runs in order when you press its button: open an app, wait, send a shortcut, play a sound, switch profile. If a step fails, the routine stops there instead of continuing blindly.

Routines require Pro, and they use the same actions as a normal button. You can start from a preset such as Focus mode (mute the volume and lower the brightness) or Web dev (run npm run dev and open localhost) and edit the steps afterwards.

Where it fits in a working day

A deck earns its place when the same sequence repeats every day. These are common patterns:

  • Start of the day: open mail, calendar and the project folder
  • Focus mode: mute the volume, lower the brightness and open your editor
  • Dev server: run the command in a terminal and open the local URL
  • Voice chat: press to talk with PTT and mute again on release

Profiles and hotkeys that follow your context

CYPAD can switch profiles by itself when it detects the focused application: one profile for coding, another for calls, another for games. Rules match a process or a window title, and a configurable cooldown prevents them from flipping back and forth between profiles.

If you prefer to decide, every button can be triggered with the mouse, with a global hotkey or from the phone. Click, press and hold, and push-to-talk are configured per button, so you can reserve PTT for voice chat and keep the rest on a single click.

Start free and expand when you need more

The Free plan gives you 1 profile and up to 6 active buttons with the basic actions, for as long as you want. Pro is a one-time €9 purchase that unlocks up to 12 profiles and 48 buttons per profile, plus OBS, sounds, routines, global hotkeys and mobile control.

The app installs from the Microsoft Store. The Pro key is pasted in Settings → Account → License, and your local configuration stays in place: the licence changes the limits and the available features, not your profiles or buttons, and it is a lifetime licence for the 1.x version.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Actions are chosen from a list: open a site or app, fire a shortcut, copy text, play a sound or switch profile. Commands with PowerShell or CMD are optional.

How many buttons do I get for free?

The Free plan includes 1 profile and up to 6 active buttons, with no time limit. Pro raises the limit to 12 profiles and 48 buttons per profile.

Can a button type text for me?

Yes. The keyboard action has a text mode that sends Unicode characters, including Enter and Tab, instead of interpreting the string as shortcut syntax.

Can I control it from my phone?

Yes, with the companion and a Pro licence: enable it in Settings, open the local address on a phone connected to the same Wi-Fi and enter the 4-digit PIN. Nothing is installed on the phone.

Does it work on macOS or Linux?

No. CYPAD is a Windows 10 and 11 application, distributed through the Microsoft Store.
